PC Webcam Not Working

Newer Lenovo PCs have a webcam shutter feature called ThinkShutter, which covers the webcam when not in use. Sometimes, this shutter can be accidentally closed, resulting in a 'Webcam not connected/detected' error in Teams or Zoom.

To check if your webcam shutter is closed, look for a red dot centered at the top of the screen. In this state, your webcam is turned off and cannot be detected by web conferencing software.

To turn on your webcam, slide the small button to the right or left until you can no longer see a red dot. This will open your webcam shutter.
